BOOK REVIEW: Arsenic and Adobo by Mia P. Manansala [Tita Rosie's Kitchen Mystery #1]

Arsenic and Adobo is worth reading, especially if you’re looking for a cozy mystery that will keep you up all night, wanting to know the truth!

THOUGHTS:

While I was reading this book, it kept on surprising me with its unexpected twists and turns. And when I finished it, I just knew that I need to pick up its sequel, Homicide & Halo-halo, right away because I just need more of the author’s writing!

This is definitely one of my favorite books now. The writing style is easy to get into. The plot and the characters would you make you think that you know what’s gonna happen next but the truth is YOU DON’T KNOW and you’ll just be surprised with the truth!

Although it is a mystery book, it did not just focus on THE “mystery”. I like how it also explored the themes of family (specifically Asian ones), friendship, romantic relationships, and self-awareness.

Arsenic and Adobo is worth reading, especially if you’re looking for a cozy mystery that will keep you up all night, wanting to know the truth!
